Re: RELOCATING CLIMATE CONTROLS????

No one has ever done this. Then you stated you don't want to take the dash apart and drive it. Unless you got something else to drive while you fabricate this it isn't going to happen. It is going to be apart a while. There isn't anything in there you can't relocate. Your going to be extending wires...

Re: 1st year Astro vacuum question

There are several vacuum diagrams for every year due to states having different emission crap. It don't matter. These things need vacuum. Evap soliniod, Map sensor, Dash heater controls, PCV and the cruise control. Engine makes vacuum. Intake has a port in the manifold somewhere. The TBI's have 2 on...

Re: Many questions, one post

Some doors have windows that open like the side windows. Mine has it and the gen 2's have this option also.

As far as making the doors open backward or gull wing anything but stock. You got to do the fabrication to make the hinges to make it happen.

Re: paint code mystery

If you go to a good paint shop they have a scanner. That scanner will tell you what paint code it actually is. Then they can mix the correct color for you.

Did you replace the ignititon switch too?

Just the electrical part on top of the column on bottom. Tumbler/lock is the same.

Re: Low reading on voltage gauge.

Low reading on voltage gauge.

I been screwing with this for years. I said eh everything works leave it be. If voltage under hood is correct at the battery and your voltage gauge is to low. Drops a little when you turn on the A/C lights of fan. It is the ignition switch. I finally got tired of screwing with it bought one and put ...

Re: A/C problem

The A/C system in my van hasn't been working for I don't know how many years. I know it didn't work when I bought it. The compressor never turns on and checking the fuse shows it's still good. A mechanic friend checked the system pressure and it shows almost ambient, in other words, almost no refri...

Re: Area for debris to accumulate around blower motor?

The inlet in in the passenger door jam. More likely the problem is dust and such in the heater core and evaporator coils. So find cargo crawlers thread where he rebuilt the A/C system to see what the parts are and where they go. If this is it pack a lunch the dash is coming apart. Shortcut that may ...

Re: Rear brakes not functioning, fronts doing all the work

Take a drum off and have someone slowly push the brake. See if the wheel cylinder is seized. One side pushing the other isn't because it is rusted and froze inside. Slowly because they will pop out. Manual adjustable proportioning valves. They work well. Have to use them on brake changes on race car...
