Re: Dash and switches into LED, **pic heavy**

Good job and nice write up! I know how hard the mirror switch is, the wires broke on mine too. I went through the bottom of my switch http://www.astrosafari.com/gallery/image.php?album_id=8586&image_id=65690 and used 2 of these http://www.astrosafari.com/gallery/image.php?album_id=8586&image...

Re: Project Junkyard Dog: 03 Astro Build Thread

I almost went with the tintable version and did it in olive drab.....it would look mean in military colors.

Two tone would look good too. This guy did his Express van in two tone tan and black.

Re: Project Junkyard Dog: 03 Astro Build Thread

Also, after every bottle stick the tube of the gun down in a can of lacquer thinner and pull the trigger a few times to clean it. It will keep the gun from clogging and spitting and messing with the spray pattern.

Re: Project Junkyard Dog: 03 Astro Build Thread

It took 6 bottles and thats doing the roof too. It has a good heavy coat, that stuff textures really nice. I ran my compressor at right about 45 psi and held the gun at about 18" when shooting. On the last bottle I went over the whole van holding the gun further back, like 20"+ to get some...

Re: Question about 22-687 springs and body blocks

I can attest to how easy they are to lift, I actually just pulled the whole lift off mine and rejiggered it in just a matter of hours. I can also attest to the Hankook atm's, I have them on mine and they do climb, I also think they are the better looking of the cheaper all terrains, more aggressive ...

Re: Project Junkyard Dog: 03 Astro Build Thread

Ok, I've got a lot done today. Finally replaced the front door handles, not too bad of a job just pretty fiddly. I cut a hole in the door to get to the top bolt. Here it is before the hole IMG_20170621_155420266.jpg After the access hole IMG_20170621_155721572.jpg And all done with a nice rubber plu...

Re: Project Junkyard Dog: 03 Astro Build Thread

This is my first garage, I've worked in driveways/backyards my whole life. If I ever get this concrete down I won't know how to act. Just the thought of dropping a washer or nut and being able to find it without digging through grass or gravel makes me giddy!!!!!!!!
