This looks like a very good job from the pics!

I am in the middle of swapping my rear diif. right now. everything was pretty much straight forward and it started to come out. The only issue I am having is with those Godforsaken bolts on the back of the Leaf Springs! How did you gt yours out? Im so close right now but the things will not budge!

Yea its a easy swap till it comes to those bolts, the bolts on my black van wouldn't move even with a wrench and a pipe on it. so cut them, but the ones on the blue van cam right off. i would recommend replaceing them with greaseable bolts, i did just in case

Thanks alot! I actually got em off and they weren't in bad shape so i was able to reuse them. I'll be replacing the springs in a few months now so I'll have to pop em right back off... I wish I could've replaced the springs when I had it down but I just didnt have the 400 bucks for new steel springs!

Pays to shop around for sure.
I got brand new leaf pack, steel springs with at least 4 inches of lift. Brand New, from a local spring shop, for 300.

you went from3.73 to 3.42 at 60mph you'll really be about 65mph.

the 3.73 gears are my 97 Astro
the 3.42 gears are my 90 Astro there the org gears now
