After a winter of cruising around, bashing through snow, and providing shelter for me, my boy, and our dogs, Rastro is in need of some Springtime Loving....... Let the fun begin!

Yeah, they're not bad, I just though they didn't get along with our motors. I always hear either use Delco or Skip White... sure it'll run like a raped ape.
So whats next on the mod list my friend?

COOL! Got plans? Cladding delete can be.. tricky. Do you have the special trim pieces for behind the front wheel wells?

On the cladding delete, skip the heat gun, razor blades etc. The Astro eraser wheel takes it down no probs. (you probably knew that)
After the wrestle match.
Did the insulation make a big change for you?
Yet to tackle that mod.

Accel, if you got the one with the brass contacts, should be fine.

Those E3 plugs, however, return and get AC Delco instead.

I've run E3's in y other engines and they ran great! DO they not agree with the 4.3 engine?

I have all my pieces to do the delete, just not the nice weather (my garage is currently full of other car stuff), so I am waiting until spring for the warmer weather. I was able to pick up the front fender pieces from a guy that was parting out his Astro after removing the engine...... it was too bad too, it was in nice shape :crying: .
As far as removing the gunk, I am going to get me a decal eraser that attaches to my drill; I used one at my old job and it worked great!

Thanks Whimpy for posting the a.co link for the tire holder.......

It's a little late, but here we go...... This past weekend, I did the tune-up on Rastro; now he runs smooth as silk. New plugs, wires, distributer, rotor, and coil. He's ready to roll for the spring; can's wait for Burning Van!!

Unfortunately, I only have a few pics of the install on the swivel, but I can step-by-step it for y'all. Mind oyu, I did this on a 100-degree day, the instructions might change depending on the season.

1) crack open beer
2) pull out the passenger's seat
3) unbolt the seat from the slider unit
4) crack open another beer
5) there will be two holes you need to drill on each the seat and the slider unit, line up your swivel and find the ones that work
6) bolt the swivel to the BOTTOM of the seat
7) crack open another beer
8) replace seat base into your van and tighten all the bolts
9) place the seat on the base and insert TWO of the forward bolts using washers to align the seat to it's factory angle
10) take a seat, finish your beer and figure out the sitting angle that works best by adding and subtracting washers on the REAR
11) tighten all your bolts down and double-check the swivel.... I had to bend the handle to get it to clear the seatbelt and such
12) crack open another beer, spin the seat around, grab a few friends, listen to some tunes, and enjoy!
