1988 oil gauge pegged and flikers back and forth after warmed up and at an idle?

I'm thinking of changing sending unit by oil filter. 8 years ago I installed a high presure oil pump.

this is a common problem on the 80s and later GM

my 91 s10 is also pegged past 80 alll the time never moves

usually its bad oil switch

just replace it with another one or a new one

easy

on my 91 im not worrying about it

Oil switch, do you mean sending unit by the filter?

I Put in another sending unit, now shows about 30 lds. Well, at least it's not pegged. :rockon:
