the brown wood looks kinda vintage to me.

The brown woodgrain has that 60s-70s van kind of look.
I sort of like that 60s-70s thing.

I'm jealous of your headroom.

Those light tubes have a cover?

I like the gray as well. I would try to match the color of the gray plastic on the door. It's a lot lighter and and would be better to match the color you have. Too many colors makes it look off. However, this only my thoughts, for what it's worth.

I kinda like the grey, but like 94 Van Guy stated, if you're gonna paint them, use an existing color, otherwise it's gonna start looking like an argument in there.

I think with the amount of wood color you've got it contrasts enough but doesn't stand out too bad. The gray isn't bad but it looks like it'd blend in a bit too much. Jeff that's an awesome looking interior light setup.

I kinda liked the way the colors did'nt match the doors , i was thinking it made it more rich looking by having the contrast
like the pictures below , i actually wanted the trim closer to black but the way my laptop screen was adjusted i accidently made the trim lighter.
If you guys are on a laptop you might be able to ajust your screen back to see what it looks like with very dark trim.

I guess it depends on the look you are going for, but I think the grey would look sleeker. Grey gets my vote.

Can you describe those window covers, please?
Do they store somewhere and push into place or do
they somehow pull down and remain attached to the
window frames?

I know I voted for grey, but that being said, sanding and painting all that wood is a LOT of work, and it really doesn't look bad as-is. Personally, I think grey would look better, but I don't think I'd go through all the trouble.

But that's me...

All they are is 1.5" thick styrofoam insulation sheets glued to a 1/4" piece of plywood , i then upholstered them and yes they're removable altough i built them to be a pretty tight fit for insulation purposes.
One cool thing about using this stuff is if you accidently cut it the wrong size you can glue 2 pieces together with carpet glue to get your desired size.

I took some pictures of them before i installed them but for some reason i could'nt get any better view of them then whats in this thread , i can however explain how there made which is pretty simple.

step 1 cut your styrofoam to fit your window (in my case i cut it about 26" tall 48" long
step 2 cut a 1/4" thick piece of plywood to fit on the back of the styrofoam (in my case i cut the plywood about 25" by 47"
step 3 spray 3 M carpet clue on one side of the plywood and one side of the styrofoam let it set a couple minutes until the glue gets tacky and then stick the plywood to the styrofoam
step 4 let dry real good
step 5 upholster the front side of the styrofoam sheet , the front side is the side with no plywood , the plywood is on the back side to give you something to staple your upholstery job to.
