No emissions testing here. Too bad I junked it already, didnt't think a dead cat was worth a buck.

Its the platinum used in the catalyst that is worth some money i sold one for $55 to the scrapyard. Ive even heard of them going for upwards of $100+ but i cant varify just hear say.

I wasn't going to mention how much they're worth since it's already gone, but I've gotten from $7 to $75 each for them.

So what are those blocks in the cat? Are THEY the catalyst material? Or are they some kind of deposits?

That's part of the honeycomb that have broken away.

Correct. And every time I hit the pedal they would be pushed back and plugged up the exhaust. Van is so much quicker now I love it. If you hear a rattle from your cat get it pulled.
