Just need a head unit and we'll be golden! I DON'T want to use the 86 factory head unit! HAHA!

And check it out! I got the amp from a guy off of Craigslist, I gave his truck a complete detail and he gave me the amp! WOO!

I'll be powering 600 watts to each sub, I got Jensen amp that I'll be using too. WOO! :layrubber:

Not to sound like I'm Mr. Mobile electronics, but those woofers are 350 watts nominal, you'll be under powering them by 50 watts each. I don't know if that's a real big deal, but I was taught to always meet the nominal power of the speaker.
My one Kicker Comp 12" did pretty dang good with only 200 watts. Now I have to be careful not to blow it out of the box with my new 1000 watt amp.

Hey, buy a Soundstream Reference 12 and i'll trade you straight across

Oh no! I got two amps, that's just a new one I got :D The other amp I have is a Jensen amp, it's 600 watts as well. But you're definitely right about underpowering the sub...I had a "meanwhile amp" when I first got the subs and powered 300 to one sub. The amp always got very hot and eventually cut off after 2 hours of on and off use. Good thing I only needed it for a week, I was just very eager to put the subs in (my Tahoe at the time).

Amp getting hot and cutting off is not from underpowering the sub. You're also not going to get the full 600 watts out of either the either amp, especially the Jensen (under rated by half)

If needed I can get into more detail later, at work right now

Jax I appreciate it but I'm good on the info. I've installed plenty of stereo systems in the past and I was just trying to sum it up for everyone else. That's why I'm going with amps that are well over the RMS of the subs, so that I can at least feel comfortable knowing they'll get at least half.

The amp that I had before was old and beat up and like I said was my "meanwhile" amp. It was rated at 300 and of course the amp powered less than that, and I'm pretty sure that's why it cut off. I tried killing that same amp once cause I hated it so much so I plugged in both subs to it. Let's just say...it melted. I felt good throwing it away haha
