Lowering spindles

I checked around the forum and have also been out on the net but could not find anything, so I ask.
Is there lowering spindles to 89 Astro which lower more than 2", like 3"- 4"? Or if the drop is more than 2" will the lower control arm become below the rim, resulting in that if you get a flat tire you lands on the control arm?

2" is the standard for drop spindles. For a static drop you would have to get lowering springs as well to get more than a 2" drop. But you will have to change the shocks in order to get ride quality out of it. Stock shocks are normally fine with 2-3" of drop. But range of motion in a stock shock is limited with 4" drop.
