Driver side Dipstick

Hey everyone! We finally got the V8 and tranny bolted together and mounted on to the subframe and even started to bolt on the accesories and headers. When we realized the dipstick on this engine go's on the drivers side!!! Does anyone know of any other dipsticks working for this aplication? or of a universal dipstick that's long enough for this???

The 267 V8(late 80's midsize cars) had the stick on the passenger side, but I don't remember if it went into the block or the oil pan(I'm thinking pan). I don't remember which side my 75 Nova with the 262 had it on, it may have been passenger side also. I barely remember the month I owned that car. The mid 80's are a fuzzy time for me.

Well, you could just put a short dipstick on it. I did that on my van just so I would have to take the doghouse off. That way, you get to look at every else too. That does kind of suck though seeing how there is less room on the driver side than the passenger side, at least on mine anyways.

in the early 80's small block went to right hand dip sticks. so blocks in those years that both. You can buy dip stick adpaters. i put one on my 400 small block in my firechicken.
