Seafoam...where is brake booster line? Picture?

Postby dross93ranger [OP] » March 28th 2011, 4:44pm

I am wanting to run a can of seafoam through my 2000 Astro 4.3 before I head to work. Can anyone show me a picture of the correct vacuum hose to run it though? I need this asap if I am going to get it done today! Thanks!

BTW I also just changed my spark plugs and don't want to take a chance of fowling my plugs.

You might have done better seafoaming BEFORE you changed the plugs. But with the water being under the bridge at this point, you won't foul your plugs. Any vacuum hose under the hood will work. And keep in mind that you do not want to suck in the whole can. Only do 1/3 of the can. No more than half.

As is known mine blew the intake gaskets a while back.well since then I had moisture in crankcase alot of it.I had taken a valve cover off to address a slight leak.Gasket was twisted a little in front.it was lesser but I had that nasty yellow garbage from water in there. It was in the dip stick tube.I was fearing my head was leaking to.Well I sea foamed it drove it about 10 miles home from where I bought it.Changed the oil.Oil looked really good was after 5000 miles and it still looked clean. It been over a week now and no moisture at all on stick PCV(my brother pointed out I been saying PVC duh)or in fill cap.So in luie of being able to take engine apart to clean it after a water Boo-Boo with intake problems.it seemed to do the job for me. :2:

The 2000 and all other hydro boost equipped Astros do not have a brake booster line. On my vans I slowly poured the SeaFoam directly into the throttle body.
