Dose any body know whee the ambient air temperature location is on 1998 Safari v6 4.3 vortex 160 miles on it .

Took grill off font see anything just two horn found bag sensor underneath the bumper area. unless its hiddnes.

I was thinking it was at the top just below the hood latch area, but I'm going from what I think I remember reading on here.

I believe this is the critter your looking for. IAT. Intake air temp sensor. Near the MAF sensor.

OK, some of us are thinking one thing while other something else. I figured you were looking for the sensor for the overhead console outside temp.

You're all nuts.

Ambient temp sensor for the console is around the horns somewhere (never needed to find it). IAT is where Randy showed it, beind the MAF on the air intake hose.

yes its not where the horn is took of grill didn't see it found air bag switch cleaned radiator had to many butter flies in it hanged coolant sensor didn't work still misfire when cold 10 or 15 minutes drive and works great after word i think it might be sensor. yes 1998 160K on it
