How do I test the map sensor and iac valve? My van chugs when its cold sometimes and hesitates occasionally. Also where is the location of these? Thanks
There are voltage tests, but I use substitution. I go to the junk yard and get a full set of sensors for diagnostics purposes. It's quick, easy and pretty danged cheap.
On an '04, start with a scan for codes, data, and misfire history. You can also check the throttle plate for buildup where it seats in the bore. Search Technical Info for the online manual link for component locations.
