Well it has started, today my main line to the back of the truck rusted through. So it starts, now have to replace as many as I can reach cause if one goes, the other are not far behind.
The front one to the right wheel on my AWD was a bit of a pain in the butt. I just ran the back one next to the fuel tank, with out dropping the tank. if I ever have to drop the tank I'll route it properly. Good luck.
I haven't done the lines on my Astro yet (knock on wood) but I have done all the metal lines (brake, gas and trans) on my 00 Venture and the rear lines on my 93 G20 van.
It's not bad once you get started, just get a good set of flare tools and tubing cutter and take your time.
Probably for about an extra 20 bucks per car the manufacturers could use stainless steel and solve this once and for all but they would rather spend money on better Blue tooth I guess.
