Redrilled rotors to the 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern

Redrilled rotors to the 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern

Postby ProStreet_LS1 [OP] » March 12th 2012, 5:45pm

Here is a picture of my redrill brake rotors to smaller Chevy bolt pattern. It was on my 85 prostreet Astro.
In the picture it is on my 98 soon to be prostreet. It is not completely installed, just checking fitment, looks good. They look good, even wear and plenty thick, so will use them.

You realize you don't have to re-drill the Astro rotors.... B-body and small bolt pattern B bodies use the same style spindle and bearings. Just pick up a small pattern rotor... The hubs I modified to carry the Corvette rotors on Bad Ast were small pattern Delta 88 rotors. I got them for free as the rotor part was used up and all I needed was the bearing hub.

There is nothing different on the back of the rotor. It just has holes for studs drilled out for 5 x 5 bolt pattern.

Do what astroracer suggests, it will be a lot easier.
