Caliper should be very easy. Two 3/8 inch allen head bolts. Change the rubber line as well.

I hear that to change callipers I should replace the rubber line as well and flush the break fluid. I get how to take them off but I'm unsure about the rubber line and flushing the fluid... And tips offered would be greatly appriciated

The rubber brake lines simply unscrew with a wrench. Screw the new one's on. Then you have to bleed the brakes. There's several ways to do that. Browsing throughYouTube about BLEEDING BRAKES will return a gazillion videos on the subject.

None of the above is difficult in the least. One of the easiest DIY jobs I've ever done.

Those rubber lines just screw off? Do I have to hold the metal one. Everything is pretty rusty, and not much room to work as well. Maybe I could pop the clip off of the rubber line. Please explain further.

The clip just holds the line to the bracket. Spray liberally with PB blaster and use tubing wrenches on both hard and soft lines.

This is the clip you speak of?

Exactly the clip. Not sure if pulling the shock would help, or if I should unbolt the bracket holding the clip and then wrestle with it while the rubber line is on the ground.

i've not done them on my van, but i think you can leave it in the clip while removing the rubber line. if your replacing the rubber, just take some pruning shears to it and get it out of your way, pulling the shock might give you a little extra working room.

You should attempt to retain as much brake fluid as possible in the system. This way you use the new stuff to pump out the old. (meaning pinch or plug the brake lines)

If you just let it run dry (air), then it will take you approximately one million times longer to bleed the system.

Then you will come crawling back on here begging for answers..........
