Putting the snap on 2500 I bought through the paces. Tracking down an intermittant abs/bl. Found a spot in the harness about midway where the 2 vss sensors join and continue to the ebcm. Seems the plastic harness cover may have melted. I can see the spiraled abs wires and they don't appear to be burnt or damaged. I'd like to test at the ebcm connector but can't for the like of me figure out how to release it. Figure that red clip needs persuation somehow. Also I don;t see it but I assume the pump to module connector is on the frame rail side. Is there a way to dissconnect that without removing the ebcm? Thanks in advamce. In the first diagram it's the C-2 connector even though in my gm service manuals that connector is C-1 I believe
perfect. just what I need. Never could find that modulemaster instructions. Wheres the ID for the module located. Or do you know it for a 03 awd? Getting all the dumb q"s out of the way...If my ebcm is a kh325, are there only the 2 connectors shown in the pics on the inboard side?
My '03 is the KH325 module and just the two connectors. Looking at photos will tell you what style you have based on number of connectors, layout, etc.
If your are removing your module, soak the torx screws in penetrating oil first.
Thanks for all the help. Think I have the same unit. The scan tool may have ID'd it I don't remember. Maybe I'll try to picture the whole diagnose/ repair if I can. I didn't find much help other than yours on the subject
I am new to this forum, bought 04' Chevy Astro last week and was trying to figure out where the heck is EBMC located on this van as I am having 0265 DTC, so wanted to say Thank you for sharing this information - very valuable.
The ebcm is located on the frame rail under the driver's seat area, you should see a bunch of metal brake lines running to it.
