Here is my little story...was driving along two days ago and my van decided to turn Toyota on me and the accelerator wouldn't release. (It had done it that morning but a blip of the throttle corrected it and i thought no more of it.) I began to ride the brakes trying to slow it down, which i did get it slowed to reasonable pace. I threw it in Neutral and I slowed down too much to make it to the shoulder and ultimately down this driveway to a parking lot. So i dropped it back in drive with the engine revving at about 3k the van bucked and the brakes went to the floor. I was now barely able to slow the van down but during all this I managed to get to the shoulder and down the driveway where i killed the engine and coasted to a safe spot and stopped. After yanking the cover i see the throttle cable is kinked and frayed. Fast Forward to today and I replaced the cable. I started the van and applied the brakes and at first i had a pedal then it slowly sank to the floor like it was going through molasses. I can pull the pedal back with my foot again very slowly and get a pedal if i only barely push on the pedal but if i push beyond half way it just sinks. What is going on here? Any help is appreciated.
