I have a 97 safari awd and it loses the power steering and the power brakes. started doing when it got cold out (-3 f). drive it for awhile then shut it down for 15-20 min. then it willstart to work. any ideas?
If it's not a low fluid condition it's most likely a failing pump. Mines been doing it for a while now I'm just waiting for the sucker to completely quit before I replace it.
yes this is a failing pump i would highly doubt fluid change would help. replacing them are not to difficult just need a pulley remover/installer which you can rent from most parts store if you dont own one. i think it took be a hour or two last year doing my old mans
