Well about 2 weeks ago all my brake lines burst.
And now i find that 1 fitting at the anti-lock brake module is stripped.
My friends dad who is a mechanic said just use compression fitting where the lines are still good. I myself perfer to redo the whole line for peice of mind.
Is there anyway you guys know how to get it off?
Did you use a good line wrench on it? If you did and you rounded all the corners I would get all the other lines off and out of the way (draw yourself a pic to remember what goes where) then try clamping it with a set of vice grips and see if that can get it. I would also start shooting some lubricant on to it to let it soak while you get the other parts out of the way. Those connectors are usually fairly soft metal so if you can clamp a good set of vice grips on hard enough it should grab hold.

See the thing is that this bolt was already stripped before, since the old owners told me they redid a brake line. I did however get out another one fairly easy. Right now i am just gonna put on some compression fittings since this van isn't a daily driver (Since i dont have my G2) and the only reason i am trying to get it done fast is because the van may get towed since i cant move it. I will however start spraying the fittings with lubricant and let them soak.
If all your brake lines blew then what is left of that line can't be very good. If I were in your position I would patch it like your going to untill I could get it home or to somewhere it can be worked on and then try and do a proper fix. Could you get a whole new abs controler from the wreckers??? I don't know how much it would be. The other thing is if you can get the van home or to a buddies house could you pull the whole unit to put on a bench to work on it.
I would suggest cutting the brake line off close to the nut and try putting a met wrench on it you know one of those sockets that grab on the flat side of the nut instead of on the corners. The only problem is that if you cut the line and can't get the nut out you are really up the creek without a paddle.

The front of the lines look brand new, but i am also just doing this so i can move the van so it doesnt get towed, this van will not leave the parking lot until i get all the lines redone as i had planned before. I was thinking of cutting the line and putting a socket on it, then i throuight what if it doesnt come off, but i didnt think of a new abs controller from the wreckers or taking the unit out.
Thanks
