We are safe, but this picture is a view from my house.
Notice anything odd? Maybe not, because I can't find an earlier picture, but there should be a mountain there, called Pikes Peak.
This is one of the smaller ones, near Colorado Springs.

One fire was only like ten miles north of our house, and had my mom having everyone pack emergency bags, just in case, but I think they've almost got that one out. But the one on the other side of town is still raging pretty bad, and the one way up north is now the second biggest in Colorado's history, I think.

One of the things you learn from getting to know cancer patients and siblings. Life is gonna happen. You can only hang on and hope for the best.
