it's not an all wheel drive, but i bolted in a 2005 GMC jimmy front diff by swapping over the yoke from the astro when I did a part time 4x4 conversion.
Yeah, I looked at a 4x4 Jimmy side by side with my 98 and the only difference was the cable that engaged one side of the drive shaft. I think you'd want one out of a Bravada if you want to skip all the 4x4 stuff.

Is the Jimmy diff tougher or weaker than the astros? Same gear ratio? How does the engaging of the 4wd work? Gears or clutch?
