With Green's fresh trans rebuild I'll only be using Mobile 1 or Amsoil.

I just use whatever name brand Dex III the parts store has. You may want to think about adding a drain plug in the pan. It will make it soo much easier next time.

I agree with this.

Are you talking about changing the filter and topping off the fluid or a complete flush? If you are just replacing the filter and topping off, don't waste the money and just whatever brand your local store sells seeing how you replace 3 quarts or so and not the entire 12 quarts or so that the trans holds.

Also, on a side not, how many miles does the trans have on it? If synthetic was not used in it before, I would not require adding synthetic to it now. Seeing how the trans operates good (assuming that since you aren't talking about any problems), I would not change what type of fluid is already in it. Unless, of course, if you are going to say that it already has synthetic in it.

AutomaticThe purpose of an Automatic Transmission is similar to that of a manual transmission, the auto tranny's primary duty is to allow the engine to operate in its narrow range of speeds while providing a wide range of output speeds.
