can I get a photo shop on this van

can I get a photo shop on this van

Postby markmitch [OP] » June 8th 2016, 9:49pm

This is just for an idea I would like to see this paint scheme but with the white being dark blue and the scollops to be gold instead of purple. You can pick the dark blue and the gold as I am just trying out some ideas. I wish I had the software to try it myself since I am bored and getting over the flu.

Will is a step ahead of me today, LOL well done Will.

Use the magic wand selection tool, adjust the threshold until it only selects the purple, then color brush over it.

Unfortunately, with the color brush you will loose depth and color gradients which give it a "realistic" look, and will have a flat 1 dimensional look. This is a difficult photo to work with to invert the colors and make them look real. I'm sure a pro could possibly do it.

Here's a "quick and dirty" amateur test sample step 1 using hue changes only (but can't get a realistic lightening of the flames):
(this is about as far as I can go)

It's still "color brush" (in my old photoshop program too)... but maybe I just don't know how to use it right. I assume color brush just lays down one flat color, without depth and gradients?

Try creating a layer on top of image while on the new layer, use the Lasso tool and draw your selection, then play with the paint tool.
