Remote Keyless Entry Fob Reprogramming?

Remote Keyless Entry Fob Reprogramming?

Postby Casey [OP] » March 26th 2009, 2:09am

I didn't see this already asked, so I'lll ask here. How do I reprogram the remote keyless entry (RKE) fob for my '95 Astro? I had the battery disconnected to re-set a SES code and now none of the three RKE functions work . :(

If it's an OEM RKE here are the instructions:

1- Ground pin G in the Data Link Connector (DLC).
-Receiver will respond by locking and unlocking all doors.

2- Press any button on the first transmitter to be programmed.

3- The control module will respond by locking/unlocking all doors
and activating the liftgate release (If equipped).

4- If you have a second remote, follow step 2 and at this time.

5- Remove the ground from pin G of the DLC.

6- Transmitter operation is verified by locking and unlocking the doors and automatically activating the rear window release (If equipped).

Hope this helps.:)
