side terminal extension

side terminal extension

Postby safariking [OP] » December 25th 2013, 10:27am

I need a little help here I'm looking to add some power accessories but it would make it a lot easier to hook up if I could get hold of a couple of these side post battery extensions. I checked on line at different places the price is ok its the shipping that's to much I'm in Ontario Canada and can't find anyone close by that carries these anyone use these or know where I can get some even if they were used on any factory vehicles so I know what to look for at wreckers. any info would be greatly appreciated. this is what I'm looking for or any other things you know of.thanks

autozone carries the positive one. but not sure about the negative. let me know if you can't find them and maybe I can see how much for me to pick them up and ship them from California.

Make one, threaded rod w/ 2 nuts locked together in the right location. Steel is fine but if your really particular go into the plumbing aisle and find brass bolts, cut the heads off.

If they are not a "stock" item, ask if the store would special order you some.

I would just make my own from 3/8 course nuts and bolts, which I have done

in the past and had no problems regarding serviceability.

If it's time for a new battery you might want to look at getting something that has both side post and top post terminals.

can't pull enough power off of the accessory lugs on the fuse box?
A temporary fix usually becomes a permanent solution, therefore it does not exist.

X2 on LAPS or car stereo shop. (even Best Buy might have them, might have to talk to an installer though)

Im in Hamilton too.. I have looked for one of those once when I needed one in a hurry for my dads Express van that has a wheelchair lift. I couldn't find one anywhere. I ended up ordering off ebay. I have a spot to ship to in NY so I you want, ship them there and on my next trip over I'll bring them back.
