dome light fuse 2005 Astro

dome light fuse 2005 Astro

Postby 210glenn [OP] » October 17th 2010, 2:24am

I'm worn out and stumped. Shorted the overhead center dome light, no console, and now none of the dome lights work front or back.
Looked under the hood and all fuses good. Am I missing another fuse box for the interior lights?
Long day and it's dark so really haven't crawled all around the van.
Thanks in advance.

Glenn,

Go to the Forum Index page, mid way down you will see the owners manual section. Open the 05 owners manual and Bob's Yer Uncle...

Good Luck, Jim

Thanks for teaching me how to fish! Much better than handing me a can of tuna.
Appreciate this website very much. Better than others.
I will look tomorrow and hope to find a blown fuse.
Owned 1988 , 2000 and 2005 and never have any of the problems listed here.
Hell, over 10 years and never needed the fuse box!

Well Glenn,

You should post up some pix, and introduce yourself, and van.

Checked fuse #3 in the under dash fuse box but still no dome lights. Looks like this might be a bigger pain than i thought.
Back to the manual.
Thanks, Glenn

All I had to do was stick my foot in my mouth. I went back to the manual and realized I checked fuse #2 instead of #3.
Pulled the correct fuse and lights work again. Doing too many things at once this weekend.

Great site and appreciate the help.

I do that a lot. You're upside down, twisted like a pretzel, looking at a tiny abbreviation
and not sure if that's for the fuse ABOVE or BELOW it. I'm gonna buy some of those fuses
with built in LEDs. They light up when they blow. Not that I blow fuses. Maybe I'll just
get them because they'll be cool to have.
