Trouble shooting AC system via applying 12VDC to various points to get AC compressor clutch to engage:
  • AC Fuse is good.
  • Refrigerant (R12) OK, good pressure.
  • Low Refrigerant Switch good, enabled (closed)
  • C-110, Harness up on Firewall good
  • C110 (Bulkhead connector) good
  • C256... (Vent/Selector Slider) bad
  • Found PO had not reconnected the wiring harness on the switch assembly :banghead:
Oh, and the Harbor Freight Laser Thermometer worked... I started out reading over 30°C and within a few seconds the vent was reading 22.°C... and dropping.

The AC is fixed, just in time for the Dog Days of August! :layrubber:

Finished putting everything back together after replacing all 4 ball joints. And those upper ball joints looked like that hadn't been greased in 200,000 miles

O yea what do yall think of this idea someone had. Personally i think it weakens the control arm but sure makes the shock nut easy to get to.

Havent really done alot lately been to busy, the front lift is finished though, engine in wired/piped up, throttle done, power steering done, pulled fuel tank removed pump extended pickup, extended the steering shaft.

If i got time later the clutch will be done and we will be crackin on with the rear lift, think were gonna stick with the stock rear end as i want this over with so i can start on the sierra.

Astro has been getting too much love lately...........
so I buffed and cleaned the "Quadzilla".

Unfortunately for him..........he maybe going to market.

I'm thinking of selling it..or a possible trade scenario.

Looks great! I had thought about putting that front end on my Astro, if I could find one. Billet grille is going to look nice. I also think it would look really cool with a Bow-tie on the grille. :chevy:

I installed the Jarden exhaust today but that on another thread. I just want to know whos black Astro and what is your wheel tire size combination and the drop information.
Where is best billet grille from?
Looks sweet.
After I posted this I realized it didn't copy the picture of the black Astro with Safari Grill from post.

Jim

That was just a pic from google images that I had saved. Sorry, I can't tell you about the grille! Try Ebay, I've seen lots of them on there.
