EGR Valve

Postby BEATSTTC [OP] » September 20th 2011, 3:52am

Please help. I have a no start situation. My buddies OBD reader came up with EGR valve fault. I removed and cleaned the valve and body and re-installedthe s it carefully(the spring action was working fine) but still no start. I have 3 month old wires and plugs and last summer replaced the fuel pump. Any ideas? :screaming:

Is it getting spark?

Is it getting fuel?

Always start there.

Try some starter fluid (either), but follow the directions on the can. If it fires, start with fuel. If not, start with spark.
