Astro plow sighting

Postby kennyj [OP] » February 23rd 2010, 6:21am

Saw this in town today. We were supposed to get 6 to 7 inches overnight, the 1/2" we got was melting by morning.

So that same rig came to plow my driveway this morning. Usually he plows with a Colorado rig, but I guess he had a helper running the Astro because we're getting hammered with new snow. It's snowing right now at 1 to 2 inches per hour with high winds; 15 inches by morning. :o

I have often thought about a plow for my van... with my AWD, 2" lift and Firestone Winterforce tires I feel like it would be great... but that comment about the subframe holding up has me nervous. Any thoughts?... and has anyone here fabricated frame connectors for your Astro or maybe they're available as aftermarket pieces somewhere?
