My oil gauge is acting kind of funky. Every time I accelerate, the amount of oil I have goes up and then goes back down when I let off the gas. It is a little under 40 on the gauge and then goes over 40 with gas. Is this normal?
I don't know if its a new issue because I have only driven it for 1 month. I don't think its to much of an issue. I just wanted to see if this was normal.
Can't say for sure if this is "normal," but on my van, when it is at operating temperature and the engine is running at driving speeds, the oil pressure is at about 45-50 and at a stop, or at an idle, to drops to 20 or so. The engine in mine has 184K miles on it and could use some work in the lower bearings.
I think someone with more understanding will be here soon, Keith
