All other forums about everything else SUCK.

All other forums about everything else SUCK.

Postby CharlieV [OP] » July 18th 2012, 3:02am

I've found it somewhat helpful to consult websites like A/S and Crackberry (for BlackBerry), and I've noticed that I've gotten a lot more help with my van in the past three weeks than with my blackberry phones the entire time I've had them. Come to think of it, I've gotten more help with my van in the past 3 weeks than with most of the other crap I own in a lifetime. So I hereby declare that all other websites that offer forums about everything else suck. AstroSafari is #1, even if you don't own one.

I happen to agree completely. Even forums that you pay for pale in comparison to A/S

I swear no matter what I post on this website someone will reply to it within the hour, usually within the next few minutes. On any other forum about other stuff, I'm left waiting for DAYS until someone posts something that is completely irrelevant to my question.

Yea, but if you put cheddar and spicy mustard on your ham sandwich, it's way better.

Honey mustard is better, d00d! They did tests in Road and Track about the best mustard while driving porsche boxters.

Yeah.. I hate that. Both in web forums and in person.

You say, "Ummm.. I don't think you quite understood my question." And they say, "YES I DID."

Or you might say, "That's not what I'm talking about." and they say, "No, it IS what you are talking about."

Or you might say, "This is the problem that I am having." and they say, "No.. That's not your problem. THIS is your problem and here is the solution!"

I found a Subaru forum that is pretty good. But yeah, days for someone to post, other forums are really sad.

I tried the mustard, and the honey mustard, but in all honesty, I can't see how this might make the noise in my rear end go away.

I think I'll try Bean-O the next time it happens. Oh, dear, were we talking about cars ? Sorry, my bad...

Another thing, maybe post your other questions, like about your crackberry, here on A/S, and someone will probably give you an answer. There is such a diverse group of people on here from all over that are (usually) helpful. Only problem is, I HATE MUSTARD!

Trying to find why my chevy truck was running poorly. My regular forum had failed me, all they were really good for was fighting with each other and telling new posters they were stupid.
so I found this camaro forum, I had to tell them that my truck was actually a camaro just to get some answers. So after a few posts they blocked me saying Camaro only. Even thou I was asking small block Chevy questions in disguise.
I have a friend that owes my a favor I had him attack their site, just shutting it down for a few weeks, nothing mean like i could of had him do.

In 17 years interneting I've only been on one other forum that came close to A/S, but it had so many members that there were always flame wars going on, but most people were helpful. Not that we haven't had our problems here from time to time, but we get it sorted out pretty quickly and the Mods aren't having to delete post's, telling people to chill and banning people almost daily.
Two three weeks ago a new member making his first post looking for help said something a long the lines of, and don't give me that noobie crap, I love the fact that "we" don't do that here.
I dealt with that really bad on a small Jeep forum once, then I made the mistake of posting an OT topic in the OT forum that had nothing to do with Jeeps and got flamed for a few weeks which I just ignored and didn't post anything not Jeep related again, but the Mods ultimate action was to ban me.
