Image description

Hired an Indian Guide to escort the wife and I back into areas of Monument Valley not usually travelled by tourists and found this aged tree and lined it up with the hole in the rock to obtain an eerie image. Twelve years later a friend of mine, Bert Sirkin, the creator of the famous best selling PhotoBert CheatSheets, visited this same area and took a similar shot. We compared views. Believe it or not, nothing had changed, Nothing! We were amazed. I named it "The Navajo Tree" but have no idea of it's true history.
This was shot with a Nikon and 35mm color negative film back in the early 1990's.

Not exactly sure what is said to me, either, SilverBullet.
Guess one of the main draws was was the space opened by time and weather in the back ground could be lined up with the tree branches in the foreground and that image tugged at me saying "you will not see this again, ever". And I think the voice was correct. I will not be this way again and now I have, I own that reminder, that Kodak Moment.
We photographers must listen to those inner voices, for sometimes they whisper.

That's my story and I'm sticking 2 it.
