Ok, Is it possible that you have Seized Wrist Pin?
I owned a 327 V8 that did exactly what your describing.
Does it feel tired or sluggish when rolling?
It might be motor time?

:banghead:
I’m a bit skeptical now that it’s even a fuel supply issue.

Hello Ladies AND LUGnuts,
My mystery fuel glitch is that my 99 Chevy Astro, 4.3 L. Cuts out after 2 hours of driving & won’t restart until many hours have passed. I replaced the inline fuel filter. Primed it & she started, ran for 2 hours then I turned it off but wouldnt restart til the next day. It’s running today and now I’m going to VOTE. (PLEASE ,honor your patriots who gave all for our right to decide). So,
WHAT NOW ?
CURSES !
I’m stranded. Won’t restart again. Had to hitchhike home to wait in hopes it’ll start later.
The van’s 200,000 mile engine was rebuilt 1.5 years ago (by a less than attentive mechanic). Today I was told that if it starts when cold then possibly the compression in the engine is compromised. Any takers ?

Well spotted.

It’s my fathers 1961 BSA A65 Star. He passed away in 2015 and it was handed to me. He restored the bike in around 1985 and then rode it hard. It’s been all over the world, America, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Italy and of course the local countries like France, Belgium, Holland and Scotland...

It was pretty worn out but I have carried out a sympathetic refresh and ride it as much as I can. It’s not easy as I have my own bike (250Triumph) and an MGB GT to use as well.

I will try and find some photos to post.

That whiteboard has got a bigger list on it now....
