"motor ran out of oil"

Ummm....did the owner not know it had to be changed, or did the quickie lube forget to reinstall the drain plug?

Re: What have you done with your other vehicles today.

anyone can drive an automatic: One hand, one foot, half a brain... Lol! Anyone can drive today's standard. You'd think. But you'd be wrong. Millennials, among others, are lost when faced with a stick. There are news stories about attempted carjackings that are abandoned because the vehicle was a st...

It also means any family trips are in my vehicles, but that has its upsides and downsides. Now we need to search for ...

Welcome!

Yes, the AWD performs much better than most think it will. It’s a beast in snow - nothing can stop it.

Re: Grooves in routers & pads

Inside pad? I would guess crap got in there - salt, pebbles, sand, something.

By the way, they're rotors, not routers.

Re: My Safari was a victim of a hit and run, what now?

Aw, crap. That sucks, man.

But yeah, fix what you have. The odds of finding another ‘05 in that kind of shape (notwithstanding the recent damage) are low.

Re: What have you done with your other vehicles today.

Husband and daughter cleaned and scuffed the wheels of the Xterra, then primed and painted them black. They were in pretty bad shape and now they look really good. Then they cleaned the areas on the hood that have sun damage, and primed and painted them. They need another coat, then they’ll put some...

Re: 2003 running bad-New cap rotor plugs wires...

I've always had to use a socket on a long extension to make sure I got the plug wires on the driver's side snapped on securely. I use a pair of these to pull the wires https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51yWYXbOmNL._AC_SL1001_.jpg https://www.amazon.com/QWOKR-Spark-Removal-Plier-Pliers...

Re: What have you done to/with your van today?

Oohh...that’s pretty. And will smell nice.

Yeah, I’ve made it a habit to lube the hood latch when I change the oil and usually once or twice in between. I hate it when they get stuck....

Re: What have you done to/with your van today?

Replaced the right backup light that’s been blown for a couple months, replaced the wiper blades, filled up the tank, filled up the washer reservoir with bug stuff, checked the oil, lubed the hood latch, cleaned the tires...

Just busy work to be outside on a beautiful day.

Nope CMFI is 1992 to 1995. Just read it in the Haynes.

It’s funny that you think that Haynes is the authority.

CPFI is 1992-1995
CSFI is 1996-2001
MFI is 2002-2005
