Re: Morimito's lights

There were some options that were wired correctly but they are rare. It's easy to do the relays yourself https://sites.google.com/site/astrosafa ... -headlight

Re: 2003 Astro No start When Hot

I would start with pulling/testing the ICM.

ICM and coil go hand in hand though and I will often replace them both at the same time.

Re: Prospective buyer with question about AWD

Get the best condition Astro and don't worry about which transfer case it has. It's such a minor thing that it really doesn't matter and you can always swap to an earlier case or a 2spd case if you choose.

I have used both stock setups and a 2sp case in my vans and have been happy with them all.

Re: totally off topic here I believe

Do I legally need to let the state of vehicle registration no its now AWD? and also should I tell the insurance company? Contact YOUR state and find out but they probably care a lot less than the insurance company would. As far as insurance, they exist to make a profit so they will use anything the...

Once you are done with that, try to grab a cheap set of factory service manuals from ebay.

Re: P0302 Under load or when HOT

That’s incorrect. The injectors are available separately, not just as a complete assembly. You remove the bottom plate and replace the bad injector. Perhaps I am wrong. There is no one but you who has said that??? Post a link? Leeann knows her ****. I will be the second to say that her statement is...

Re: Roof rack styles and wind noise

It seems that a flatter blade style is going to be the quietest and most efficient. Just take some square stock and put like 5 of them across your rack without something smooth on top of them, they will make a lot of noise, and watch your MPGs go down. Then take a flat piece of OSB or something and ...

Re: Frame Rust at Sway Bar Mount fixable?

Not being able to look at it in person is always a disadvantage, simply based on the pictures I'm thinking that one is destined for the scrap pile. Of course you could always repair/replace the subframe and everything else that needs fixing. Personally, I wouldn't trust getting in the drivers seat, ...

Re: Lost key, need help

Just a couple of things. Looks like we have been referring to different things. Seems like a lot of that information that you linked to is kinda generic and NOT specific to our vehicles, kinda leaning more towards an advertisement(edited above post to be less of an advertisement). The keyfob = remot...

Re: Replaced Rotted Vacume but Still No AC Through Dash Vent

It is most likely still a leak in the vacuum system. Check ALL of the vacuum hoses and ends visually, also preferably check your vacuum with a gauge or check function with a vacuum pump. You can also check actuators with an irrigation syringe if you have one, but a vacuum pump is best. Diagrams are ...

Definitely, might want to read through the owners manual, lots of good information in there for a new owner. Digital versions are available on the site if you don't have a physical copy https://www.astrosafari.com/viewforum.php?f=110

As far as the tires, if you can live with the speedometer being off I would leave them. Enjoy the better acceleration for a while ;)
