Re: New here, with a 91 Tiger provan xl

Welcome to the site! Virtually all of the RV parts were standard off the shelf camper-RV parts of the day. Almost all of them are still available off the shelf at many RV supply stores(Local, online and Camping World). Amazon/ebay/etc always have parts as well. Would love to see pictures of your 91 ...

Re: Why did Lumpy get banned

He was warned multiple times for various things but the straw that broke the camels back was posting nudity outside of the explicit section.

Any user browsing the site should not have to worry if one of their kids is looking over their shoulder, well anywhere other than the explicit section.

Does the compressor kick on? What are your pressures at?

Re: P0442 - heater line leak?

stal023 wrote:What is?

Most of the time it's a leak in the EVAP system. Leaking fuel cap, filler hose/line, tank, hose, charcoal canister connections, purge valve, etc.

Re: PCM Electronic Fan Control...

WinnieVan wrote:Yeah -- it's seriously awesome software -- definitely geared towards the LS1 crowd ...

Here's a list of supported dongles -- cheapest one is like $40.. that's a good price for DIY tuning...

Would be fantastic if we can start doing it with a $40 dongle for the 96 and up vans!!!

Re: EGR delete

If I send you my computer to delete the EGR, where do I send it? How much will you charge me? When would I get the computer back? You can PM me with the answers. To me or one of my associates. $60 plus return shipping. Would be returned 1-2 days after I get it, but I'm on vacation until mid Aug, so...

Re: Spider lines

2000 would have poppet valves/injectors at the end. I would upgrade the entire spider which includes the pressure regulator to the newer one with real injectors on the ends like: http://amzn.to/2o45wTg

That part is listed as fitting the 04 and 05 vans only. Junk yard is going to be your best bet.

Re: The air conditioning cuts out when accelerating thing...

Still a loss of vacuum issue and extremely common. Gotcha. Thank you. I will pass on all this great info to my guy, and report back here one the repairs are complete. Even though it may be an easy job, I recently threw my back out and am barely moving, so bending over to work on the engine won't be...

Re: Astro 95 4x4 by Luma

Seems like a good deal on those petrol models. I love my el cheapo diesel heater, going to re-route the air outlet so that it runs a couple feet outside of the van before returning back into the van as it gets HOT. Can you explain this more, I think I do not understand it well. Lumir Sure can. You ...

Re: How to identify AWD?

Besides the badge or visually seeing the TC/front differential/etc in a picture, you can look at RPO codes(NP4), and the 5th character of the VIN is either an L for AWD or an M for RWD.

Re: AC wasn't working, got new compressor, still no AC

If you are not getting proper airflow, then it's most likely a blower motor/controller issue or a vacuum control issue.
