This is one from the 90 it is real similar to my 94s. It does have a metal cap over the metal inner. I never noticed before I just used the silly things,

That is my style. It is a solid metal lug. The flair at the bottom is big so the center caps can grip them. Center cap takes a good hit with your palm to go on. I will go look in my parts box see if I got a loose one to get a picture of.
