Re: 4.3l rebuild - cam options

A mercruiser boat cam works well. Just got to set the manual idle screw up a hair. I have had bigger they run better but your starting to get into idling issues then. A/C on in reverse it needs you to give it gas.

On 69 on chevelles they got this vent. I found on a trans am forum they actually tell you what it is for. Air being drawn in the dash blower and being pout in the cabin. It needs a place to go to reduce the interior pressure. They call iot a pressure relief valve in the 78 pontiac service manual. ht...

Re: Question about interior "map" lights

I got these in mine. 03 ceiling console. The black is a ground. The power are just that. The other wires are grounds that run to the dome light switch which turns them off. Through the dome light defeat if present. That simply interrupts the ground circuit. Opening the doors grounds the circuit whic...

Re: alternator questions

Autozone is a clown car for electronics. They told me the same thing I made them give me another one. I am on my 6th alternator of this lifetime warrentee. They offered to buy it back. They only fix what is broke and sell it as refurbished. So you got a 200 thousand mile part with one new part in it.

Re: which one do you think is the best looking spoiler

One with a slight down turn actually helps aerodynamics. Remember way back Mark before the naysayers came. I actually posted the wind tunnel test with the colored air rushing over the vans. One with one without the spoiler. Showing the reduced turbulence. I looked I couldn't find that test anymore. ...

Re: Brakes not bleeding

Probably got air in the ABS. Find a gravel road lock em up. bleed rinse and repeat. Sliding on the gravel activates the abs and opens the valves and lets any trapped air into the lines where it can be bled out. Or do it the right way and spend way to much money on a scanner that will open the ABS wh...
