Re: Power Steering and Brake loss

Is the fan the only obstacle? Have the pump released from brackets just having trouble trying to wiggle out. This is why I remove the bracket (with the pump still attached).. then easily lift the whole assembly out. (only 4 easy access bolts hold the A/C compressor which you suspend up and out of t...

Re: Power Steering and Brake loss

Parts stores here loan out the tools, but over there you may have to take the pumps to a repair shop to have them swapped, but some years is easier to install pump then install the pulley. You may want to invest in a kit---- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Power-Steering-Pump-Puller-Pulley-Remover-GM-Ford-...

It's a tight space, but nothing really hard about it. Get one with a reservoir, one less thing to mess with. Will, thanks for advice. When you say get one with reservoir how you mean less mess? Also as my pulley is still attached to part of power steering pump shaft how best to separate. Final when...

Re: Power Steering and Brake loss

Remove your belt, grab ahold of the pully/shaft on the P/S pump,I bet you can pull it out, away from the engine. If you can, shaft is broken. If it only moves in and out a tiny bit, might be something else, but I doubt It.I have replaced many shafts and pumps on GM products for what you have described. Bo...
