Heavy application of the brakes on our '00 produces a popping noise at right front.

There's not warning light or braking problems, just the popping noise that making the wife nervous. Calipers/ rotors were replaced along with the pads, but the popping noise was there prior to the front brake maintenance.

Anyone have any thoughts on this noise?

Hello,

check the sway bar and end links. A lot of these vans came with a hollow sway bar that tends to break and make popping noises.

May be caliper guide pins. Warn pins allow the pads to wear tapered. I had this condition. Replacing the calipers and pads fixed the problem.
