yeah like the shaved hinges huh? not many are goin thru the pain of rehinging the doors so they still work. not to mention adding a remote poplock for easy entry. as a matter of fact, drivers, passnd rear on remote solenoids.the hinges are HIDEN HINGES by autoloc. also used em on the suicided drivers. so bacically your installing suicide hinges on the rear doors. yep its crazy, who at a show will ever notice, they asked, i said a vanner will. thanks for the comps chops see ya!

Yeah man I'm in Boise. Indiana is a long ways from me, I can't afford to drag the beast across the country. Well, I could, but I doubt I'd still have a wife when I returned. Gas is $2.89 still here.
I still have those ugly hinges on the back doors. I really dislike them but I also know what a pain it is to shave the hinges. I'll do it eventually. I'll also suicide my front doors eventually. So many projects.

i need to take some pics of the cowl and post.

basically got some fiberglass matte and resin with hardener laid the matte on top and brushed on the resin. it soaks thru and sticks to the scuffed plastic. brush side to side so the matte wont sink down in between the ribs of the vents. after that has cured, flip it upside down and add more matte where the wiper arm holes were and fill in the vents with more resin to strenghten it up. after that use some body filler with kitty hair to skim coat the top. then sand, sand, sand and do it again and again till its smooth, u know the drill!! im having aim industries/chassistech build a custom grille as i post this.

that's what i've been wondering about, keeping the matte from dipping between the vents and causing all sorts of extra work...i had thought of wrapping it real tight with fleece all the way around, then cut/sand the excess on the underside off, as matte always seems to sink on me...
