Can you elaborate on the EVAP thing that several mechanics couldn't figure out? Maybe some of us have input specific to these vans that your mechanics didn't think about.

That's true... Here's the Chevy dealer's notes. This was their best guess and quoted me a couple thousand for the repair which they said might not even fix the problem.

 

Seems like a purge valve solenoid, oxygen sensors, and throttle position sensor. Did you only take it to the dealer? Dealerships don't like to (and often are not competent enough to) work on older vehicles like this. There are lots of independent shops that would be more than capable of taking care of this for not too much money. I would think you would pay a lot less than you would lose by selling it in this condition.

 

That is a very tempting tasty morsel!
I wonder, I might have to sleep in it for quite a while, if I brought that home.
