2002 no start HELP

120000 MILES pulled dist cap rotor where screws go through were broken where the rotor screws to dist is cracked,bought used dist still no staet,when turns over acts like its out of time will turn over and then stops like its out of time,did this before new [used] dist was installed,drove home 1 nite went to start next morning and wouldnt start ,,,,,,,can anyone help how do i set timing? is there a special way to install dist? please help ive had several astros this is first tim any problem like this,,,thanks doc
