on a 2003 awd astro is front tires engaged all the time.puzzled by the selonoid on transfer case,i thought i could modify with a toggle switch.any suggestions
I am wondering the same thing. I want to be able to "lock" the AWD system on while running on the beach or thru mud, like a pickup truck 4WD system wold do. Could I just put a pushbutton switch on the dash that would activate the motor solenoid, and thus lock the AWD system permanantly on? Woulld this damage the transfer case?
This is something I've been trying to find out about without much success. Seems that the NV136 is engaged by a pulse-width mudulated motor. It would be next to impossible to duplcate the signal.. Any more info would be great.. GEEZER
