i have a '92 Astro 4.3 (circle air filter on top of throttle body) . When its cold it runs like crap (very rough shudders, farts, brups , shakes ) when driving it loses power i can pump the gas pedal nothing happens or accelerates a little bit . as long as keep my foot on the gas it will stay running but if i round a corner and accelerate it hickups like ( power, missfire, power, power, miss power power power miss, power then its ok for a few seconds then while crusing it shudders and loss of power. if i stop for a stop sign with out feathering the gas it will stall . but after it reaches operating temp and i shut it off its good to go for the rest of the day runs fine no problems at all. i can let it sit as long as when i start it there a temp of 40f or higher on the temp. gauge. .... any ideas please ...anything u need to know ask ill try to describe it .

i was kinda hopeing it would be as easy as replacing a sensor of something along those lines ...it ran pretty much fine today at first a few coughs farts and sputters but then it hit operating temp , i shut it off let it sit for 15mins ... and was good to go all day ...except the flat tire i had (

Check the grounds on the thermostat housing. Clean them up and re-attatch.
These grounds are for the temp sensor and the ECM.(very important)

ill check it out in the morning, i was thinking it could be a wiring/ground issue . ill check it but open to anymore ideas of what it could be

(im not looking to put much money into my van its got 501000 kms on it ...)
