Got the cover off the 94 AWD G80, GT4 rear. The ring teeth seem OK as well as what ever else I could see. The fluid was full, sort of amber color when I checked it, but foamy. No metal I can see or on the cover magnet. My problem had been a slip and moan sort of noise if excelerating quick from a stop, or going up a steep hill from a stop. Once in motion all seems fine. Changing out the fluid, but I don't know what else to check.

Everything looks ok in the pics (to me), but foamy gear oil isn't good. Clean it out real good with brake cleaner - it's like they put in the wrong stuff or somehow water got in.

Just got it all cleaned out and buttoned up. Added valvoline 80-90w dino with the additive. There did seem to be some slop in the pinion gear when I rocked the rear wheels. Didn't have the front off the ground so I wasn't able to spin the driveshaft. Going for a test drive after dinner. Keeping my fingers crossed Thanks all Dennis
