Nice Van - Great Photos and Superb Documentation - Perfect Explanations - we need more of these around here... in these parts.

... Previous owner was a "free spirit" and lived it for a while. She's a nice girl that's getting her life on track and is about to be a momma. I send her regular updates on the progress.
Would the name of that "free spirit" possibly be " voltsmith " ? EDIT: Did not see the earlier mention.
No wait ... you mentioned it's a girl. Oh well, thought it was a small world after all...

Score 1 for the basement !!

Interesting latch / tow thingie on the trailer - any other photos?

Mike
I have never seen one before - just curious, with the swing thing, lock loops, etc.
What keeps it closed? Is it load comped with the braking shocks? Looks real Hvy. Duty.

Again, just curious.

Mike
It "seems" to look a little small & light-duty compared to the "He-Man Tough" look of the van. Maybe it's the scale.

But... like you said:

... "Good enough" for now and better than running around without a bumper
Mike
Just Really loving the Asymmetry. Looks like it was meant to be there !!!!

Mike
Go for it dude - fine job so far.
Good Experimentation.

We are all watching.

Mike - OK ... maybe not all
Beautiful scenery and the Van looks great like you say.
Nice camp !

Had some time before dinner so I knocked out a quick project.. this little fender skirt was getting pretty shabby and a useless little leg off the back always got in the way when removing or installing that aluminum brace.
..."skirt", ..."aluminum brace"...??? interesting 95 AWD camper van "STUFF".

LOL

Someone else mentioned it when asked about carrying a 400 lb bike way out there...

"...ever thought about adding a 2nd hitch" to comp for that 'moment of torque' ?

And to completely out think me, the Wife says, "Love those scooters still - can we put them on The Van?"

Mike
As the wife says , "YES" and fist pumps...

Mike
Wowee, I'm itching all the way over here...

LOL - been there, done that, just not on YOUR scale.
We only did the 27 year old Headliner base mat'l repair, then covered it.

Your Project - Lookin' good, dude - as usual !
And the 2 openings/vents/portholes/Tailgaters 20mm Cannon locators:

Priceless...

As I'm sure we all know, the front axles on these vans don't sit in the center of the front wheel arches. This picture really shows how far off it is on my van. Looks like I'll be moving the subframe forward about 2" or so.
While I know your van is AWD - I glanced over and did not see it in your info. To be honest - I knew it - just thinking of others too lamebrained or ignorant to notice ...

The real reason I posted is to ask if your discovery is only for AWD stuff and the vans or is it also seen in other GM products?

I have been right and wrong these 5 years thinking people's wheels were not centered in the wheel wells.
3 out of 4 times, it was just the shithole photographer.

I am not on here enough anymore / have others thing to do now to look at everyone's pics - so...

Mike
And like the Caliper, I never remember to mention, "just smack it with a babbett".

Mike
Sam - you are getting every dime's worth out of your Van.
Good Looking Wheels and Tires. Better than the wheels/tires being too small & wimpy.

Dunked it and still kickin' !!
Your Build / Adventures have always been a great read.

Mike

and your "nick" says it all - SCOREan... break it-fix it-score
