Meanwhile, spent the last couple days (between the constant downpours) replacing front suspension bits and pieces on the Cheap Jeep. Upper and lower tie rods, pitman arm, control arms and bushings, sway bar end links, and some other minor things. Currently waiting for repair kits to get delivered for the front spring perches. I guess it's a common problem on these things but man does it look terrible when you see it for the first time.

These are easy to install and do the job. I might reinforce them a little more and weld them in place vs just letting them float there. In case you're wondering, they do make a very stout replacement part but I'm not ready to roll the axle out from under the jeep, cut the older brackets off, and weld these new ones in place. Maybe sometime but not right now.

Aww, thanks! She just needed a little love. Getting better every day
Can you come and give that kind of love to my house? Just askin'....mine's a Cape Cod, so there's a dormer, but looks a lot like yours USED to look.

Well, I know you guys will be disappointed to hear this but its about time to spend some energy on the van. To make things easier, im going out on Friday to pick up another awd subframe. Id like to implement some of the things I learned on mine into a new stock one.

Hahaha yeah, all those carpenters and remodelers would love to see me turning wrenches.

Meanwhile, finally got started on the shop out back so I have somewhere to work. Demo is complete and pouring an additional 600 sqft of concrete (split between the front and the back of the structure). The plan is extend the building / make it longer. Should be big enough to park 2 cars end to end and 2 side by side. More than enough room to get the van out of the rain and mosquitoes so I can get back to work on it without losing my mind.

I'm going back and begin reading again to 'fill in' while I wait - LOL
