A4 Skyhawks. I built a model of one of those when I was young. I have always loved those airplanes.

Thanks guys,
I tell you, I ate, slept and breathed the A-4 and it's Pratt & Whitney J-52 for 3 years till we got discharged ( Cherry Point Naval/Civilian Rebuild / Machine Shop ).
Worked a little on F-4s, mostly GE J-79 related. They ( Air Force ) were based a few revetments down from us near the plane washing rack.

Maj. Snedeker was a real character - wore pearl handle six guns on the flight line ala Patton. He was one of those "damn the torpedoes" & screw a few loose Flap rivets - "I'm going out... you gonna' help...?".

It was the best of times and it was the, well, "The Best of Times".
