hey all. new to this forum. Im on my 5th Astro Van. Ive been able to fix most things on them. But this one has me stumped.
Hopefully someone has a suggestion that will help. 96 Astro AWD is the ride. One day it wouldnt start. So my first impulse is
fuel. I changed fuel filter. Problem fixed. Then I noticed that the Battery Meter was at about 9 volts. I went and checked the
obvious things like the battery, connections, pully's, belts etc. All was well. Alternator is about 6 months old. I thought maybe regulator?
So I took the alternator for bench test. All is well. Battery is good. Someone mentioned fusable link. I have not checked it
yet as I have no idea where it is on the van. My best guess is between alternator and battery, but I think the + on the alt.
goes to the starter first. Can anyone clarify or offer some help?
Thanks in advance

Howdy,
The fusible links can be found down by the starter. They are hard black plastic capsules mounted directly on the wiring, I think about 6 inches or so from the starter solenoid.
